pressure treated lumber for residential use.


What chemicals does Home Depot use in their 2x4 and 2x6 lumber when it has the penetrsting slits and is a medium brown color?

Actually, Home Depot or any other lumber supplier does not use any chemicals in the products they sell. The chemicals are used by the lumber processors. And as suggested, look at the label on the lumber. There are some chemicalls that are very corrosive to fasteners(ACQ), and some that are not(borax).
