Pre sub floor inspection?

What is this? I got the footer dug and am waiting for the inspector to come by but on the inspection sign off it has the next inspection is Pre sub floor. I know what the sub floor is(the framing that one would nail the flooring to.) but is pre sub floor after i pour the concrete footer? but before i begin to frame?

Thanks for any input.

Pre sub floor inspection?

I suspect that's an inspection of the girders and joists. Subflooring is I believe considered the underlayment (plywood or whatever) over which the finished floor is installed.

Platform construction is typical, isn't it... you build a deck with subfloor, then build walls on top of that, add joists on top opf that followed by subfloor, and then walls again, etc. Pre-subfloor doesn't make sense, unless the inspector wants to see the joists before the deck goes down.

They just want to see your joist job before you cover it up.

Pre sub floor inspection?

I caught up with the inspector when he got here for my footer inspection. He said it was before the joists get covered up. They want to see the framing of the joists and the strapping that holds the whole gizmo down.

Thanks a ton for the replies everyone. :D
