Powered Auger??

I need to run a 4" drain pipe under a 5' wide sidewalk. Never done this before. What kind of tool(s) are available for this, other than a sewer spade? I picture some kind of powered auger like a horizontal post hole digger. Any such thing? What are your recommendations? Thanks

Called a shovel, sweat and hard work, sorry, that what we do in the field, unless you take up the sidewalk.

A 5' span isn't nearly wide enough to justify renting a power drilling unit. Maybe if you were augering under a drveway, street or highway...
As Ron advised...a shovel should do for this job.
Good luck!

Water Jet Right Under Sidewalk

Now THAT is an even better idea. Rig a hose attachment to a 6' piece of galvanized pipe OR use a pressure washer.
Way To Go, Ryan!

Thanks, I'd thought about that but wasn't sure how fast it might be. Gues I'll be firing up the pressure washer.
