I have to connect 6X6 Posts to 8" pilings 8" above grade. Conc footings are not code and inspectors approved connection to piling however they spec'd pb66z fastener which is for conc. Does anyone know what connector to use.

(Reference chart: http://www.strongtie.com/products/categories/zmax.html - under 6X Post section. "Z" stands for "ZMAX model" = Corrosion resistant coating on bracket)

I think I worded this poorly. The pilings are wood not concrete. So i need to attach a 6X6 wood post to a 8" wood piling which is cut at grade level. So I was going to use a ABE66Z with a 8" bolt into the piling?
