Porch Ceiling

suzzettef@aol.c Newbie   Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 1	Porch Ceiling I'm trying to find out how to install a tongue and groove porch ceiling. The dimensions are (about) 20ftX10ft and 50ftX10ft. We're looking at pine and would like any suggestions. Also, has anyone used flooring to install on a ceiling? Would be very grateful for any input.

Just Bill Member   Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Wilmington, DE Posts: 3,097	Porch Ceiling Flooring generally has a lot of short pieces in a bundle, not that good for a ceiling. There is trimmed wood for doing a ceiling, in longer lengths. Bead board is a common one around here. T&G with a bead on each edge, sometimes in the middle. Commonly called beadboard. Check a local lumberyard, not big box.
