Pool table in loft?

I'm getting ready to purchase an 823 lb. pool table, which I'd like to put in our loft above the family room. I'm assuming that the loft should be able to support this weight. Is my assumption correct?

Thanks!

Depends.

I would do a complete assessment of the support joists and see if they are large enough to handle the loft as it is.

As I just posted in another thread I have seen way to many attics that were converted to rooms with no consideration to the support structure and now it is sagging.

Get this info first and let us know. Then we can give you some advice.
