Pole building help

I am gonna atempt to build a pole building and the guy at home depot is designing some plans for me. He was telling me of a design for the foundation that is different than anything i can find on the internet. I want to build a garage 24x24 with a loft. He said instead of using 8-10 feet of the poles sticking out of the ground, He said to cut them off like 8 inches high right out of the ground and box them in around the whole perimiter with 2x8's top and sides (leaving openings for the doors of course) to make a false brick foundation out of treated lumber. Then he said i can prefab traditional walls out of 2x4's 16 on center and stand them up into place. it sounds like a REALLY EASY way to put the building together !!! But I am asking anybody out there is this way acceptable under building codes??? What type of foundation is this and what is it called ???

Pole building help

Don’t fall for it.

The whole point of a pole building is to cover the most square footage of Earth with the least amount of materials.

If you want a stick built then pour a foundation and build one.

Next time I’m at HD I’ll be sure to ask to see the “false brick foundation out of treated lumber“ section of the store. I can’t comment on something I’ve never seen before.
