Pocket Doors Question
Hello everyone, I'm currently in the design planning stage of my Furnace/Plumbing Room. Right now there are no existing walls so I have the luxury of designing it as I please. Due to the accessories in this room (furnace, hot water tank etc) I want to make sure my door opening is large enough to remove things easily in the future. I'm curious whether pocket doors can be installed in an inside corner...I'd have a 24" door on one wall which will meet a 32" door on the other. This will give a large opening when both doors are opened. I hope this question makes sense...if there are any other options I'd love to hear them...

Thanks in advance,

Hey Flyultralite, I was thinking of the same concept, but I am leaning towards bifold doors. One set on one side, and another set on the other side. This way when openned up, it will give me the room needed for future maintenance. This just a thought.

I believe a few manufactures sell barn door type systems. Basically a pocket door but it does not go into a wall, just slides along side it.
