pocket doors


i want to install a pocket door on a pony wall. are there any kits or special hardware that i can find or use?

pocket doors


I have a self closing pocket door in my restaurant (this is a department of health code necessity) the self closing mechanism in the wall has stopped working....How can I repair this

Welcome and hello. Suggest you start a new thread rather than jumping in on someone else's.

As for your problem, somehow the door comes off - usually a release latch or similar at the top track. Then you need to see how the self-closing mechanism works (or isn't working) - broken, come apart, etc.

To the OP. I agree, the Johnson kits are the best - metal 'studs' stay true and straight, and tend to keep drywall nails from protruding into the door slide area. The kit may look a bit itimidating at first to assemble into the opening, but it's really straight forward when you get it started.
