Plastic decking?

Well, after reading all of the problems with composite decking I'm now inclined to use decking material that's made with plastic. What plastic decking seems to work the best—especially with stains, mold, and scratching?

Why if you see all the problems with composite do you want to go to an even more unnatural product?

Plastic is extremely slippery when wet since it absorbs no water and unless constructed perfectly it will not drain.

Plastic decking?

I was reading about a plastic decking material that resists stains, mold, and scratching. Unfortunately, the name is alluding me. The recommendation was posted by a deck contractor who has a lot of experience with composite and plastic decking and he prefers this brand. Hopefully, he'll see this post.

To answer your question, even though composite and plastic decking has its share of problems, these decks retain a LOT more of their value than wood decks. They also add to the sale-ability of the house. I have spoken with many deck builders in my area and not one is using wood decking for their own home.
