Patio French Doors - which brand is near best?

We're baffled by the brands of door manufacturers. Anderson wants $3500 for their french doors with everything-insect-screen included.

Does anybody have brand suggestions or experience with other brands of french doors that are decent and doesn't eat up half our remodel budget? Or should we fork over the money for the Anderson quality?

Anderson has two quality lines - 400 and 200 series. I installed one of the 200 series doors a few years ago. In a 6' door it was only about about $1000 - much less than the 400 series. It's a very nice door.

Andersen Frenchwood series(400) gets my vote. Basic door is a quality unit, and there are lots of options to dress it up.

Marvin would be my choice if money is no object.

Avoid pella.
