patio door studs location? (pic)

Hi I bought a outdoor shade curtain which rolls up mechanically.
Need to attach above the door area. I was wondering if attaching to the blue horizontal trim board is OK. (it's not an awning or sunsetter, just a cloth that drapes down) I think it is around 20lbs.

Or should I attach it to the stucco area, there should be 2x12s or 4x12 vertical header above the door behind the stucco, so no matter where I drill I should be hitting the wood right? At least above the house's windows this is what I encountered.

I don't know how good the product is, so kind of reserving the thought of drilling my stucco, but 6 small holes though I guess easily patched later if I don't like the product.

Thanks in advance.

It should be solid behind the trim except maybe the first ½” above the window.

I wouldn’t poke holes in the stucco if I didn’t have to.

Here it is installed.. $75 at Costco.
Sunsetter brand wants $250 for similar product.
it is just a nice thick shade cloth that rolls up and down via chain.

The valance isn't too bad looking when rolled up.
