I'm sort of a beginner but i enjoy the challenge. I need some professional advice on building a cover for the patio. The patio floor will be of concrete and will be 30' long and 10' wide. I currently have an aluminum cover over part of the patio but would like to extend over entire area. I would like to eliminate the existing cover and have a new one but i'm not sure on how to accomplish this task. The existing cover is attached under the eave and i was thinking about attaching to facia board so i would have a smooth roof line. Please give me some advice.
This describes some products you might consider. I just used the PVC type over my patio. There was a already a structure there for it so it was an obvious choice for me. Anyway, they sell the stuff at most big box stores and have instructions for the type of structure you need to build to hold it in their brochures (available at the store).
How about build those wood structure (forget how they call it)... which cover you the sun (reduce) but not the rain.... it will look nice and if do some plants even better...
