Yeah, I'm not sure about this one. I don't know what he could have/should have done to fix this. Anyone care to share some insight here? Should the inspector be liable for everything the builder does wrong?
I forgot to mention this: A week or so after the inspector said that he didn't want to be in the middle of this situation, I ran into him at work, away from his supervisors. He told me that he called the builder again told/suggested to him that he needed to fix my problems. I told the inspector that the builder and I had already talked and had come to that conclusion.
I didn't mean to imply the inspector was liable, just that he wouldn't want to get involved in it so was little use to you. Obviously the builder has all the liability as long as you could persuade him to do so. It's good that he did, but I think he should have at least put a strip of bituthane under the windows.
