patching small holes in concrete
 

what is the main difference between using the expensive patcher mix (~$15) vs. regular concrete mix ? holes like a ft by a ft.

how deep is the hole?

deeper than the concrete. maybe a foot or so. will fill with gravel up to the level where the concrete goes.

I'm a bit confused. You've a 1' x 1' wide hole. The depth is "deeper than the concrete". What concrete? How thick is this concrete? When patched, what use will this patched area be for (support for building above, etc...)?

i wanted to move a sewer pipe by a foot. broke the concrete, cut wire mash, tore foam, dug out the gravel and dirt, got to the pipe, adjusted it.

those pre-bagg'd conc mixes yield .6cf,,, 2 of 'em will do it,,, then again, can't see your house from my house :yes:

but my question was whether i should use regular concrete (cheap) or patcher mortar (expensive and advertised for this kind of applications) ?

my answer's the same,,, reg bagg'd conc mix avail at any apron store,,, uner $15 for both
