Let me try that in English, from each stud how far do we have to close in?
3 inches maybe. i already made up my mind to finagle the darn corner studs somehow and nail them in manually.

Rippy; I have it patented however I hereby give you free eternal license to freely use it whenever it feels right LOL LOL LOL

Ama; OK since we have 3 "" here is the simple way; ON THE FLAT, make an "L" of 2 2x, slip em into the corner, SCREW THRU the 1 1/2 dimension of the stud there now into one side of the L, from the other side stud do same, pre drill each top and bottom angled in toward the plates, jut like you wodd toe nail, screw em into plates that should close the corner up nice and tight, sheetrock will be happy, tape, spackle, done EZ. Ya go maybe half hr job. Get R Done B4 you get on keyboard WORK, WORK ,WORK
