Is it ok to caulk where siding overlaps brick?

My house is a 2-story, brick on bottom & vinyl siding on top. Every year without fail, I find a couple of places where honey bees find gaps where the siding overlaps the brick, and try to make a nest inside. I hate having to kill the bees; I'd rather prevent them from entering in the first place. Is it ok to fill all of the gaps with caulk, or is this a no-no because of drainage/moisture build up? If it's ok, what type of caulk should I use?

Thanks!

you can caulk holes inbetween the siding and brick
use a polyurethane siding caulk you can get it to match most colors
most well stocked lumberyards or better a roofing/siding distributor can help you

There are usually small drain holes in the bottom of vinyl siding, don't cover those.

Thanks for the tip on the caulk. I'm not sure if what I'm looking at are drain holes though. What would those look like? I've attached a picture of the gaps, with a "circle" around where the bees like to sneak inside. Are these drain holes? Would it be ok to fill these with caulk then run a bead along the brick/siding between the gaps?

Thanks again!
