no Tyvek on back of home

We recently found out that the house we had built 9 years ago has no Tyvek on the back of the house. Should we have it wrapped? just got a quote for $5000 to have the vinyl removed and Tyvek installed....not good news. We reside in Michigan. Why would
d the builder only wrap the front? He is of course nowhere to be found.
thanks.

The big question is, where do you live, and do you still have all of the blueprints with the notes, etc. stating why? Also, is this company or contractor still in business at this time? You can always go down to city hall and pull the notes and reports, and see what the AHJ noted, when they inspected during the build.

: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
