No Drain tile to tie egress well into

Hi we just dug an egress window well planing to tie into the drain tile of our recently aquired home ( we have two sump pumps) Im below the footing now with no drain tile in sight? just 3/4 stone am I wrong to assume this is a bed for water to flow and just grade my whole with stone without tying into any drain tile? Im 94" down and my boys are threatening to run away from home If I get the shovels out any more ... any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks ... By the way our home is 30 years old and it was contractor owned and built and there is no info at the building inspectors and of Course the builder is dead.... Im now 18" below the foundation and digging under the footings anyone know the standard for how far under the footings drain tile are laid?
