New wall is creaking

I just framed up a new wall in the 1st level on the house. The osb flooring has a little give it in and as you walk by, the top of the new wall creaks where it meets the ceiling.

I don't want to finish this off until I know a solution to this annoyance.

Thank you in advance for your ideas.

Jeff

If the framing is good it may just need a few shims to take the give out of it.

How did you frame it? What size wood? What size/type of nail? What was the nailing pattern? How did you connect the new wall to the ceiling? Floor? Are there any gaps by the floor/ceiling?
Would help if you put some effort into the post so you could get worthwhile information back.

Sorry Ron,

I didn't know all that information was needed. I thought a squeaky wall was a squeaky wall. Never the less, a shim at the base and some 3 1/2" screws at the top have eliminated the problem.

Next time I post, I be sure to provide as many details as possible.

Thanks for your input.
