What's new? You to homeowning or the home itself?

If it's you then no, they'll ask you a bunch of questions and then you'll be all set. it's like calling in for car insurance.

If it's the home, then I digress to other users as I've never had to or been apart of insuring a new home.

Probably varies between companies and agents, my first house my state farm agent asked a list of questions, looked at inside (think it was just because I happened to be there) and measured outside for square footage. Since then, he's always just asked a list of questions about the inside and went by to measure the outside.

This depends entirely on the insurance company and agent. I've had both types.
