New construction vinyl windows
My brick mason did not leave a 1/4" gap between the brick and the new construction windows on my room addition. Is that going to cause me any real problems down the road? I looked at the vinyl windows that were installed when my house was built in 2203 and there is no 1/4" gap on the rest of the house either and I have had no problems at all with my windows.
What should I do? Or is there anything that can be done at this point about the gap? ANyone had experience with this?

New construction vinyl windows![]() The mason was probably trying to leave a clean joint for you to caulk. While I have never seen 1/4", they usually don't allow the brick to touch the window. hope this helps. Last edited by CustomBuild; 11-11-2009 at 07:01 AM. |
