narrowline conversion kits

I need new windows! My home was built in 1966 -Andersen windows. I waw told that I could use Narrowline convesion kits to convert them to tilt windows. I do not want the old Andersens to become tilt in. Also I have aluminum storms and screens. I don't understand anything about this process. If I purchase new screens, and windows, what is the advantage of narrowlines?
