My garage door won't go down.

I have tried to realigned the sensors a couple of times. Does anyone have a trick to getting them perfect?

I have had the same problem.. Will the door go down if you hold the wall button down? Usually it will over ride the sensors. If it will, then it's probably the sensor as you alluded too, nothing mechanical

I have found that the wires are usually the problem.. Loose connections to the sensor.. I have to play with mine from time to time..very annoying

Many times when the door starts to go down, the vibration triggers the loose wire connection and trips the sensor sending the door back up.

I will check the wires tonight. You may be right because when I hold the button down it does work. It worked fine last week when I messed with the sensors. The vibration may have tripped the sensor.

Do your sensors have green lights on them?

Usually do...must be green on both sides or it won't go down.

I bet you have loose wires to the sensor, the alignment is probably not the cause

One of my green lights is flickering. I will definitely check the wires tonight.
