Mounting something to trusses

Can you mount an air handler to the middle of trusses? These are normal 2x4 trusses. Normally, the air handler would sit on the bottom of the trusses (perpendicular to the trusses) right above the drywall. There isn't that much room between triangles. Can something be mounted higher up in the middle of the trusses? Have you seen anything like this? We're talking about 100 to 200 pounds spread out between 3 trusses.

Mounting something to trusses

Check the spec's of the trusses or contact the manufacturer. Unless they were designed and loaded for the extra weight, I doubt anyone would take the liability. Be safe, G
