Morning Pilgrims! Greenhorn looking for answers! - Need help building a Shed

I have a shed I built several years ago next to my garage. At the time I originally built it I thought I would only have a flat roof put on it so I placed marine plywood on top of the 2x4's and left it at that. Now several years later the plywood has rotted through and leaks like a sieve! I'd like to build a more reliable roof that will allow rain/snow to channel away from the shed and possibly tie it to my existing garage roof. The shed is approximately 4" away from the garage. Can anyone give me some advice on what type of roof to put on and how to go about constructing it as I have no experience with building roofs other that reshingling and minor repairs.

welcome to DIYChatroom,

We will all be happy to help.

We need pictures and dimensions...

When you go to the doctor... he looks in your ears and down your throat...
and if your older.. they look in other places with their finger...
we won't get that personal... but more info is needed.

anywho...bazz, pics would be a great help. but it sounds like you need some trusses to angle the rain/snow runoff, a new deck and then shingles...... but if you get shingles, go see your doctor as soon as possible, if you use trusses, be sure they fit you comfortably, and don't forget to remove the Jokers from the new deck.
