More questions than answers

I am having a home built and was wondering if there is a relationship formul for the height of a vaulted ceiling so that the room looks somewhat balanced.

If my room is 21' x 19' with 9' high walls, will the room look balanced with a vaulted ceiling height of 12' to the cente line?

It's all a matter of personal preference. What you are proposing will look fine. I prefer a steep vault over a shallow vault. There is no formula to my knowledge.
