mold

I'm getting ready to use old barn lumber for paneling in my basement, and some of the boards have slight mold on them, what is the best way to rid this problem and should I treat the boards before attaching them to the wall? The boards were inspected and cleaned before I brought them into the house but have been in basement for awhile so they drew a little moisture. Thanks

I'd do a bleach water wash, or are you trying to preserve a patinia or something?
