Angry Moisture Problems My basment

I Had Just Built a House Myself and Finished the House
Now I had a problem with the Slab in the basement - Moisture Wicking Up I Found no Vapor barrier Under Slab. I Highered Out the Slab work to a local Contractor to pour a slab - He Never Said Anything about a Vapor Barrier - so anyway I never knew anything about it till last winter after the rooms smelt Musty and the Carpet underlay was damp – So any ways this past Summer I Poured a new Slab on Top with a 6mill Polly In-between – I Lifted all the walls and Slid a 6 Mill Polly Under the Wall and Poured a 1.5 inch with Fiber Mesh New Slab On top on the existing and poured around the walls– the Problem Seems to be solved the humidity went from 70% to 50% in one week even with slab drying out. Did I do the right thing? I have big O around the House and Is Working - I have a sump Pit and the water table was down 3 feet delow the Slab also I did See 6 inches of gravel under the slab. Is this a Good Fix or…
