I was told that you can use 2" polyethylene for insulating under a
mobile home .
i know that it is used for pipe insulation but not sure about this .
any advise on this matter would be a appreciated.
the material is 2"x48"x96".

You will want to seal in the foam somehow to keep out drafts and vapor. Great Stuff might work. Complete and properly vented skirting is important to conditioning the crawlspace under a mobile home as well. Exposed supply pipes should be wrapped with heat cable (not tape) and insulation.
