Question

minimum width for laundry alcove (stacked units)

i am planning to build a laundry alcove for a stacked washer and dryer in a tight spot. was wondering what the minimum width should be, i.e. how much clearance on either side of the equally wide two pieces.

thanks

Look at mfg of washer/dryers that stack; they'll have the dimensions listed in the products' literature available on line or for download.
