Default Mighty Mule Gate Lock - Mounting to Brick

Not sure if this is the right section, but here goes. I'm installing a mighty mule FM143 gate lock. the instructions all show mounting the electronic lock on the gate, and the receiver on a post. i'm working with somewhat limited space, and i don't like the idea of having the electronic portion on the gate (since all you would need is a 12 v battery to unlock the lock) I want to mount the electronic lock to the back of my house and the receiver to the gate. I'm sure this will work just the same as the other arrangement, but I'm worried about the masonry, how much force can it handle? the gate only weighs about 200 lbs.
