Mating sheetrock to textured ceiling

I'm going to completely re-model one of my bathrooms shortly and there are 2 or 3 layers of wallpaper on the walls. Instead of trying to remove all this I was just going to replace the sheetrock. How do I mate the new sheetrock to the existing textured ceiling seemlessly?

You simply hang the wall sheetrock right up to the ceilings.
Next, you do what is called 'flat-taping'.
Instead of applying the paper tape onto both sides of the corners (ceiling side & Wall side), you only apply it on the wall. The tape is applied as close to the ceiling as possible, but applied 'flat' thus the term: 'flat taping'

When coating, carefully coat up and into the ceiling corners. Make sure that any excess compound is cleaned off of the ceiling prior to drying.

After applying all your coats and sanding, go back with latex caulking and apply to any imperfections or small crevices in the corner...

We have done many of these with great results....
