LVL specs by different manufacturers?

Probably a stupid question, but never hurts to ask.....

We're removing a wall in the next few weeks, plans all drawn up and ready to go. It'll be a 15' span using 14" 1.9e LVL.

Our architect did her calculations using software developed by Weyerhaeuser, and as I've been shopping around for materials, I'm not finding anybody that stocks Weyerhaeuser. Am I correct in understanding that engineered lumber like this all has to meet spec within certain tolerances and that I'm ok going with another manufacturer?

I would check with the architect, but she's on her honeymoon for the next few weeks. Your thoughts?

Just because the software is from Weyerhaeuser doesn't mean it's specific only to their products. Standards and engineering specifications are industry wide and going to another manufacturer shouldn't be a problem as long as they are reputable.
