loose vinyl siding

i can pull the bottom portion of vinyl siding away from house, how can i repair without removing.

It's next to impossible to fix this without removing it and putting it back on right. However, there may be a way to "temporarily" fix it with glue, nails or screws, etc. The best way is still the right way. It MAY just be able to be "snapped" back to the starter strip, if it's the bottom run? Hard to say without seeing it first hand.

Yes, they may have to remove some sections to re-nail, and then use the zip tool to put it all back together.

either it just needs to be zipped back into place or the panel was installed too loosely so it cant properly be locked back into the starter without pulling up on the first panel by unlocking hte upper peice and renailing

If it is to lose so also may be the pieces above it and they may all need renailed tighter.

the only way the above piece is causing a lower piece to be loose is if its nailed too high which is pulling up on the lower piecee. in turn making the it so the lower piece cant be locked into the starter channel

If it's just the bottom panel that's loose, carefully remove the starter strip and move it down just a bit so the panel when zipped back onto the starter will have no slop in the bottom between it and the starter. If it was put on when the house was new, it is common for the panel that is attached to the mud sill and/or the second floor band joist to come loose after the wood dries out and shrinks slightly in height. Drive through a development that is more than a few years old and you'll see plenty of loose panels flapping in the breeze.
