load distribution

load distribution
I am wondering what the formula for weight distribution is for upstairs at our work. We had OSHA come through and among other things we got tagged for, was that we need to calculate the load of support we have for our messenine. I guess so things don't come crashing through the ceiling, go figure.

Does anyone have insight on this? I know we need to know the area, the lumber (2"x6") with 1/2" plywood on top.

Thanks, Shane
