leak between sun deck addition and house
I am in the process of redoing our sundeck and wanted to eliminate a water infiltration problem. Along the area where the addition meets the house is a gap/open seam that extends the full depth of the metal pan concrete deck.
My plan of action was to remove all the loose concrete and debris then apply an expanding spray foam. Then I was going to apply waterproof concrete over the entire surface and finish it off with a product called Siliconizer here in Costa Rica. Here is the link to the product http://www.lancopaints.com/english/p...f_coating.html Am I going about this the right way or should I take a different route? |

Nope, spray foam is not water proof and anything hard used to cover it will just crack.
The wall does not move, that slab does. Clean it out and fill the gap with foam backer rod, then use something like this to fill the gap. http://www.dap.com/product_details.a...=26&SubcatID=6 |

No, what you suggested will just crack, what ever goes there needs to be flexable.
