layout for multiple rooms

When transitioning from a bedroom to a hallway which will enter a living room. Should I lay all planks in the same direction or change at the doorway?

Assuming your meaning flooring, install the same way. Just keep putting pieces into the hallway and work your way down the hall.

Nail down flooring goes perpendicular to the floor joists. If the subfloor is slat, it goes perpendicular to that. If it's diagonal, put it at least 45 degrees off the subfloor orientation.
