Laddervator, I need one

Hello
Has anyone used a "Laddervator", I understand that roofers use it but I want to use it to propel haybales up to the top of my barn. A conventional elevator is so big that I don't want that.
Does the Laddervator toss things over the top ? Or could it go slow enough so that another person standing in the loft could pull off the bale when it is at the top ?
Thanks
Deb

I have one, used once. Ladderator brand. It's electric though, most want gas. 44' of ladder. Lifts roofing up AND dumps it onto ramp with rollers, self unloading. I live on the other coast!! Oh well. Be safe, GBR

You haven't lived until you've unloaded a whole truck of hay bales into a loft all by yourself.

Set the elevator up, toss 3 or 4 bales on, climb up the ladder to the loft (where it's at least 50 degrees hotter!) stack said bales, climb back down the ladder....... Works much better with two persons!

It almost killed me when I was 25, I wouldn't even think of doing it now.

I think a laddervator would work fine for hay bales, albeit a bit slow.

micromind,,,
try doing that to hundreds and hundreds of bales every year. A truck load,,,what a skimpy amount. Our hay bales were 80 # and some weighed 120#. Very tight wire ties.

Then we would put 1000 straw bales up there and CARRY them all the way to the top of the peak of the roof,,,darn near nose bleed height.

THEN when the barn was full we would stack hay bales outside and the higher the better. Generally they fell over after a while so you got to try all over again.

I had a great hay bale conveyor ,,,just made for them,,out of water pipe and an electric motor. Had heavy chain on bottom for toting them up. Gave it away last year at this time.

Frickin idiot bricks,,,dont want anything to do with them ever again!! But havent for 40 years so I guess thats a GOOD thing!!! Know how many i.b. you get off hundreds of acres of alfalfa hay?? TOO many!!! Then dad would leave and go custom bale for somebody else and we got the ,,,you kids go unload the SIX loads of bales we did earlier,it looks like rain!!! times every day of every week of every month all summer long!!!

Hope you enjoy those horses,,,they LOVE to eat!!!
