We have a drywall contractor removing popcorn from a cathedral 15ft ceiling, at the lowest point 10-11 ft. After removing the popcorn, he is applying a knockdown texture. Does the ceiling need to be painted after the knockdown texture is applied?
I would paint it after priming to protect from mold and moisture (cooking, cleaning, smoking) settling to stain it calico.
