kitchen cabinets and finished wall layout

I am in the process of designing and building a garage apt. One kitchen wall will have a 36" and a 30" base cabinet between the two adjoing walls. My question is, how much do I allow for "play" between finished walls to make sure cabinets fit so I can just fill in with trim piece.

You need to allow enought room for the drawers to be able to be pulled out without hitting.
Without a lay out drawing of what your trying to do it's hard to suggest something.
I try and allow 3-1/2" from the end cabinet and the wall.

Thanks for your help but I dont really understand what you mean, cabinets end into the wall all the time.

It depends on the cabinet. As far as the cabinet box is concerned, if your walls are plumb and the corners are square then all you need is 66". If you have full overlay doors and draw heads then you need room for the door to swing and a comfortable space for the draw head to clear the wall. A general answer to your question is at least one inch for each end, that should provide for the wall being out of plumb, doors and draws to work, and allow for a filler that you can work with. If the refrigerator is to be up against a wall make sure that there is enough space to open the door far enough for the draws to open.
