joist hanger question

My home addition has 2x10's hanging (with proper 2x10 joist hangers) on the original house's 2x8 rim. These 2x10's form the addition's 1st floor ceiling/2nd floor floor.

The top 2 nail holes for the joist hangers run above the old house's 2x8 sill and end up being on the face of the old 2nd floor's bottom plate. I'm 5% concerned that my building inspector is going to get uptight about this.

I'm perfectly fine with its structural integrity but I'm just wondering what everyone thinks? I can't seem to find anything specific online about my situation.

The reason I think the above is perfectly ok is because the joist hanger's real strength in holding up my 2x10 joists comes from the sheer strength of the nails. As long as what the hangers are nailed to has strong support below (I have quality 2x4 studs below my old house's 2x8 rim), and as long as all the nail holes are filled on the hanger, I'm praying that it doesn't super matter that I didn't attach the hanger to something more uniform like another 2x10.

The blue dots (kind of hard to see) represent the joist hanger nail holes. And in the picture I called the green 2x4 a top plate, but it's technically a bottom plate for the old 2nd floor.

that should be fine. ive done similar with absolutely no issue with the inspector. not that we used the old ribbon but we added a new ribbon that was 1 size smaller than the joists only so we could allow a propane line to be run directly under neath without having to notch or drill
