Joining poured concrete and concrete blocks

I have decided to replace part of my home foundation. It is currently concrete blocks, and going to replace the troublesome parts with poured concrete with a row or two of concrete blocks on top. My question is, how do the blocks need to be joined with the poured concrete. I am not talking about the ones that are going on top, but the blocks that I am not replacing. I have googled, but can't seem to be typing in the correct phrase...Also, once this is finished, I am needing to repair some cracks in the basement floor. Can someone reccomend how to do this?

Joining poured concrete and concrete blocks

I just did this on my house. Make a sawcut down the block wall to expose the block cores, this creates a type of keyway to lock the concrete pour into the block.

L would also think you will need rebar pins out of the top of the concrete wall to lock in the block

No expert but I would knock some holes in the ends of some the adjoining blocks to allow the concrete to flow into the hollow cores. If the cores have been filled already then drill some holes and put rebar pins.
