Interior window trim/casing, insulate or not?

Hi Guys,
I have been replacing my old windows with new windows (with nail fins), at the same time I am adding 1.5" rigid foam insulation to the exterior wall.

My question now is:
do i need put insualtion to the interior window casing/trim?

Please see the attached image, what I did was:
1. put a 2x4 around the exterior window opening, form a framing structure, and I nail the window to this framing, and the frame is level/flash with 1.5" insulation, so I can later on nail my siding.

2. I have applied the expansion foam insulation between the window frame and rough opening frames.

I am not sure about the place where the ? mark is. Do I need to apply some insulation here, then nail the interior casing/trim?

It seems to me, if I don't, the heat can escape through here? (the red line with arrow simulate the heat escaping). Seems this is the shortest distance for heat to escape?

What do you think?

Thanks!

Thanks Tom for the good words.

What kind of insulation should I use? Rigid foam or regular insulation butts? If I use rigid foam, will 1/2" thick good?

Please see the picture, if I put in insulation in the area indicated by the green circles, the casings would be aligned to the blue lines, correct?

What if no interior insulation is put in? Will that cause lots of condensation in the winter time?

Thanks again!
