Default insulating inside the plastic poly pans?

hi - I used the poly "pan" boxes where I have junction boxes in exterior walls - couple questions
1) is the red tuck tape enough to seal the flanges of the pan box to the vapor barrier, or should I add a bead of acoustical sealant to these joints as well?
2) can I use something to fill / insulate the void between the poly box and the outside of the junction box - maybe a soft curing non expanding foam (I think DAP makes something l could use), or stuff in a bit of Roxul scraps, or something like that? I lose about an inch or so of insulating space behind the junction box as the poly pan is oversized a bit compared to the junction box - this is just dead air space

sorry - not sure if this question belongs here or in the electrical forum - thanks
