Insulate basement walls, 1/2 concrete / 1/2 wood frame
I am goint to finish off my basement and plan on framing new walls inside the concrete wall. I'd like some input on where to put the insulation and vapour barrier. I would like to keep the new walls as close to the concrete as possible. It currently has insulation/poly in the top 5' of the walls which are wood frame and nothing on the concrete bottom third. I have attaced a sketch showing what I have now. Any advice is much appreciated.
I use craft faced bats with the vapor barrier facing the warm side of the wall--don't be concerned with the existing insulation--that's far enough away to allow a bit of air circulation.
