Insulate a basement walkout door?

Anyone have tips on the best way to insulate a new wood door?

Customer wanted the old one replaced with a shiplap identical to the old one. I used pressure treated that was pretty dry and then stained and sealed it. Since the walkout has 8 cement stairs leading out with another door at ground level, also PT I've got a dead air space between the two and it's pretty air tight and dry.
The issue will be with the 0* weather we get. That basement door will be cold. The basement isn't ever going to be finished so that's not an issue.

You thoughts?

Have you ever felt a warm door with below zero weather?

The other door may be the one that should be better insulated/weather stripped since it really sees the weather.

I agree, but that door is split down the middle and hinged on both sides.

The basement door is one piece. I might just use a piece of foil faced foam board. I'm concerned about the lap joints, the wind here blows pretty good.

Just wondwering if anyone has used something different or a better solution.

Get a really good insulated door and put the desired exterior on it.
