Question

Installing Wall insulation bats

I am installing wall insulation in my attached garage. My question is "which way" should the paper be on the house side?

I *think* the paper should be towards the house for vapor barrier and for the outside walls the paper towards the garage.

I know this won't be a perfect vapor barrier, but it's what I got.

Any thoughts?

Larry

Your right...paper/vapor barrier always goes to the "warm" side.

Unless you live in the hot humid south. Then I beleive vapor barrier goes on the outside. Chances are your local code will require you to do it a certain way. A quick phone call to building dept will tell you.
