installing a steel bathtub

I'm installing a new bathtub which I've done before in another house. In the previous house the tub came with metal clips which attached to the tub and then were screwed to the studs. This new tub did not come with such clips.

Anyone know where I can get them those clips, or some other method to attach tub to studs.

what does the directions say to do for your tub? If it is a steel tub, just set it on the floor. The drywall will lap over the flange. Nothing more is needed.

like most things you buy at the big box store these days there are there are no directions.

A cast iron tub is big and heavy enough to put in place without securing. But the the lighter steel tubs need to be secured so that they don't move.

My old tub came with metal clips that attached to the tub flange and then could be screwed to the studs. No such clips came with the new tub.

sounds like this tub is designed to sit on a 2X4 ledge you must provide around the three edges. then CBU over the flange.
