Installing insulation in basement ceiling

I know this question has probably been asked 1000 times but for some reason I can't find the answer...

I am putting insulation in my joists in the basement ceiling (primarily just for sound dampening). All the lighting that I bought is rated for insulation contact so I am not worried about that. What about the heating ducts? Can I put insulation in contact with those? Any other factors that I should be aware of before I start installing this?

Thanks

It is faced on one side, with some sort of clear layer on the other just to hold it together (for easily handling the package says).

I was going to lay the paper side down, but in the joists with the ductwork should I put it face up so the paper isn't in contact with the ducts?
